Military Wives supporting Military Wives

The Lantern hopes to encourage military wives, or any woman committed to a service member, in a loving, growing relationship with Jesus Christ in order to become equipped, through Him, to handle the vast challenges that come with a military life.

We know that connection to others is key when navigating a lifestyle like ours. The Lantern provides consistent opportunities for military wives to come together in weekly small groups as well as social events and service projects.

Your support is important to our work at The Lantern. We never want our ladies to feel burdened by attending our meetings. Every little bit that you can contribute goes a long way in helping us fulfill our mission! Below are a few examples of how donations are used.

FREE CHILDCARE

We provide childcare through our Fireflies children's ministry at each meeting to allow the mothers in our group to better focus on our study. Kids that are old enough can do a craft or activity while learning about God's love.

CELEBRATIONS

The happy times in life can also be lonely for women who are separated from their servicemember and, often times, their family as well. We love to celebrate the joyful times by throwing birthdays and baby showers for our ladies.

SUPPLIES

Being able to provide our members (and our Fireflies children's ministry) with the bible study workbooks, scriptural printouts, and other supplies necessary for each study is one less obstacle on everyone's faith walk.
